This work of art made it’s way to a #1 spot on Billboard Heatseeker Mountain and charted 40th between J. Cole & Travis Scott on Billboard’s best selling R&B/Hip-Hop album in the same week. This was all achieved without profanity, a radio campaign and a multi-million dollar budget.
PRESS ON ALI TOMINEEK
Before it became the World Famous #FridayFlow Album, it was called the Monday Rap Madness. During his Sophomore year of high school, Ali Tomineek would promptly rap a verse on TV in front of the entire student body of Peoria High School every Monday morning during the video announcements for a segment called the “Monday Rap Madness”. As time went on, that became a mouthful to say. So the rap segment was moved to Friday and the title was shortened down to the #FridayFlow. Every week, students would direct their attention to the TV monitors in every classroom anticipating what Ali; one of the world’s fastest rappers, would bring to the table. (He demonstrates this fast rapping ability in this video here. The popularity of the #FridayFlow began to grow from the school, to YouTube (where some of the #FridayFlow’s reached a million views, prior to his YouTube account being hacked) to all the way around the world. After the hacking of his YouTube account, a lot of unwanted frustration arose for Ali and his fans, but it was a blessing in disguise. Ali soon found out that his fans across the world; also known as the “31 Squad”, were viewing his #FridayFlow’s year after year and those videos became their favorites. As many may know, Beyonce has organized a large fan-base known as the BeyHive, so at this point Ali’s fans began to do the same thing and come together to create the 31 Squad. The Squad requested for him to compile these past FridayFlow’s into an album. So the #FridayFlow was renamed to the World Famous #FridayFlow. Now, fans across the globe could Pre-Order the World Famous #FridayFlow album which was released on May 5th, 2017. This album contains 20 songs, all entirely produced by Ali himself and a collaboration track between 2 of the fastest rappers in the world; Ali Tomineek and Futuristic.
